Register to sing Dan Forrest’s newest major work, LUX: The Dawn from On High, under the baton of Warren Cook! The festival performance will be 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Rodeheaver Auditorium in Greenville, South Carolina, and will feature over 120 singers, orchestra, and comments from the composer. This five-movement work explores various facets of lux (Latin for “light”), in texts ranging from ancient liturgical chant to Scripture to modern secular love poetry. Festival singers will also enjoy a reception with Dan Forrest hosted by Rivertree Singers.

Festival literature will also include movements one, three, and seven from Rachmaninoff’s Vespers, William Mathias’ Let the People Praise Thee, and Rutter’s Gaelic Blessing.
