Rivertree Singers & Friends Choral Festival – 2018

Hear Dan Forrest’s newest major work, LUX: The Dawn from On High, under the baton of Warren Cook! The festival performance was 7:30 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at Rodeheaver Auditorium in Greenville, South Carolina, and featured over 150 singers, and orchestra. This five-movement work explores various facets of lux (Latin for “light”), in texts ranging from ancient liturgical chant to Scripture to modern secular love poetry.

Festival concert also included movements one, three, and seven from Rachmaninoff’s Vespers, William Mathias’ Let the People Praise Thee, and Rutter’s Gaelic Blessing.

The Festival opened with a concert by the 35-voice Rivertree Singers.
