Warren Cook and Rivertree Singers will again host Rivertree Singers & Friends, a choral festival and concert in Greenville, SC. 120 additional singers from 11 states will join the 42-voice Rivertree Singers and orchestra for a beautiful performance of John Rutter’s well-loved Requiem. Tickets for the Saturday, June 27, 7:30 p.m. performance will be sold exclusively through the Rivertree Singers box office.
The performance will be dedicated to the congregation and loved ones affected by the tragic killings in Charleston, SC. Twenty percent of ticket sales and sponsorships will be given to the families of the victims through the Mother Emanuel Hope Fund, Charleston, SC.
We desire to communicate our sympathy with those suffering in Charleston, and we know that the beauty and power of this music will provide hope and consolation for those in Greenville who also feel the pain of this horrific event.
Last year Rivertree Singers invited other accomplished musicians to join them in a performance of Dan Forrest’s highly acclaimed Requiem for the Living—a stirring and uplifting work exploring pain, loss, redemption, peace and rest. See the 130-voice chorus and chamber orchestra perform Requiem for the Living below.
